“We undertook a major mechanical refit on Indigo with Marlin Marine, Port Adriano, Mallorca. The works involved the following:

1. Removal of main engine, genset and prop shaft
2. Stripping and cleaning of engine room
3. Installing new main engine and new genset, incl new Racors
4. Installing prop shaft, new cutlass bearings and coupling
5. Installing new prop
6. New wiring and plumbing in engine room
7. Installing new retractable bow thruster
8. Installing new batteries and wiring where required
9. Complete overhaul of watermaker including new membranes
10. Complete overhaul and upgrade of Lewmar Commander system
11. Overhaul of autopilot drives
12. Anti foul and hull polish

All work was carried out in a very competent and professional manner. The team at Marlin Marine were a pleasure to work with. They were very accommodating and have a great can-do attitude. Although a job of this nature has the potential to be very stressful, in this case it was a very rewarding process. “Marlin Marine have, over the last 12 months, been contracted to carry out major overhauls on several systems onboard. These include full service on steering system, complete strip down and rebuild on anchor windlasses, complete strip down and rebuild of pneumatic system on passerelle hatch, complete overhaul of passerelle, including remote control functions, complete rebuild of sundeck electronic hatch, full service on all hydraulic power packs and associated systems, this included the removal of the stern door, redesigning the PLC for locking pins to operate correctly and installing a fully watertight pneumatic seal.
